A Little Bit About Me
I’m the founder of Prepper Base, Kevin Fitzpatrick. Ever since I was a little kid I’ve been obsessed with what’s coming next. Of course, I love technology. But I also mean the future- like what’s going to happen next.
I’ve always been thinking about what’s coming next. Whether it was next week’s test, sports, even television when I got the chance to watch it. I have always been looking ahead. That means I’ve always been a “planner” type of person. I ended up getting my Law Degree after floating around the corporate world, and that sure required some serious planning and looking to the future, grinding every day in the books for three years, 12 hours a day, for it all to come down to one test: the Bar Exam. Which I luckily passed on my first shot. So I like to think that, at the very least, I’m no dummy. I’m not the smartest guy in the room, but I’m sure not the dumbest. And I’m happy with that.
Why I Wanted to Build Prepper Base
After several years at a desk, working way more than 9-5 for a big firm who didn’t care about me, I realized that practicing law isn’t the right thing for me to be doing. I had to do some real thinking once again, some introspection and more thinking about the future. That was when I discovered the prepping community and how it truly fit in with how I look at the world and live my life. I was a prepper before I knew what the term even meant!
We all have a little fascination about “the end of the world,” and some folks might even fantasize about running around in a Road-Warrior style dystopia someday. But the truth is that collapses happen slow. The changes are only caught by those who are watching for the signs.
A prepper is someone who has that keen eye, and I’m proud to call myself a prepper. I consider myself a prepper because I’ve been simply observing and preparing. And I built every single part of this site to share it all, everything I discover on my prepping journey, with America.
So Welcome To My New Obsession! Prepper Base!
Now I am working full-time building Prepper Base to be the best resource for prepping information in America. I have some of my best friends on board to help me, but I’m the one who builds this site day in and day out. I hope that my sacrifice of a “normal” job can, at the very least, give you some information that will help your prep for the future.
I want Prepper Base to help create a community through our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. I think we can really make a difference out there. Prepper Base is a resource no matter what aspect of prepping you are getting into or thinking of getting into. Whether you’re into prepping for Food, Water, Outdoor Survival, or looking into anything from starting a fire to getting through a city in case of an infrastructure collapse, my mission is for Prepper Base to help you and other preppers around the world. Prepping is a lifestyle, after all. And we are a community based on our prepping lifestyle.
